It began with Mi Amore.
The Grand Tourer began as the harness I couldn’t find for my own mini dachshund, Mia.
I wanted better for her: something comfortable, practical, and genuinely ergonomic, built around the way her body actually moves instead of a generic size chart. I also wanted it to feel like me. I’ve spent years immersed in the automotive world, drawn to clean lines, fine materials, and small details that reward a closer look. So I brought that world into hers: subtle touches inspired by motoring, timeless patterns, and thoughtful hardware, all wrapped around a fit built specifically for long bodies and even bigger spirits.
That first harness became the Grand Tourer, and it was made for Mi Amore before it was made for anyone else. Dachs & Hound grew out of that love: love for her, love for this stubborn, spirited breed, and a belief that dogs this full of personality deserve gear that’s every bit as comfortable as it is classy.
Every piece we make still carries that same intention. Built for the dog you actually have, not the one a size chart assumes.
