MEASURE WITH LOVE
Measuring Guide
A few quiet minutes with your hound. A better starting point for fit.

Start with the chest.
Let your hound stand naturally.
Use a flexible measuring tape. Keep your dog relaxed on a level surface; don’t measure while curled up or sitting.
Measure the widest chest.
Wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Keep it level and comfortably close, without squeezing. Record the girth and its unit.
Measure where the neck straps sit.
Measure around the base of the neck where the harness rests, rather than where a high collar might sit. Note this measurement too.
Check the fit, not just the number.
Once fitted, you should be able to slide two fingers comfortably under the straps. This is a practical check, not a replacement for a verified size chart. Check that the neck is clear, the panel sits comfortably, and straps don’t rub the armpits.
Take a short, supervised walk.
Recheck the adjustments and attachment before heading out. Watch how the harness moves and whether your dog can move freely. Stop using it if it rubs, slips, or causes discomfort.
Contact us for sizing assistance
Our verified size chart is not yet available. Grand Tourer harness sizes are XXS, XS, S, and M, but we won’t guess your dog’s size. Send your chest and neck measurements, their units, and any fit concerns.
Ask the teamBetween sizes?
Don’t automatically size up or down. Without the verified chart, a label or breed alone is not enough to choose. Contact us before ordering.
